Power, concealment, theft

Power

The tracker has to run from the truck’s electrical system without causing headaches when the vehicle sits. A hardwired unit on a fused constant feed is the standard way to do that. Concealment

If someone can pull the tracker out in ten seconds, it is not doing a security job. On a lorry, hide the unit inside the cab: behind a dash panel, in a void the driver does not need to open, oriented for a clear GPS signal. Avoid metal boxes that block the sky. Avoid the obvious “tracker-shaped” gap next to the fuse panel that every thief already knows.
